Update from ICAC 67th Plenary in Burkina Faso
Greetings readers,
I have been attending the ICAC plenary meeting in Burkina Faso, including presenting a paper on organic cotton. There has been a fantastic response, and a lot of positive feedback and reaction. In other words, despite some scpeticism from some quarters, organic cotton is now recognised as a valuable part of the cotton sector in its own right. This really validates the hard work that so many people have been doing for so long.
Of course, much remains to be done, including from the organic cotton side, to make sure that what we are doing is what we have been claiming in terms of environmental, social and economic benefits!
But it is a great feeling...
